Tutorial 5 of 6
Mobile Setup
The Verso mobile app lets you review vocabulary anywhere. Here is how to get it set up and connected to your desktop.
1. Install the app
Download the Verso app from the App Store (iOS — coming soon) or Google Play (Android — coming soon). In the meantime, Android users can sideload the APK from the GitHub Releases page.
2. Sign in with the same account
Open the app and sign in with the same email address you use on desktop. Your vocabulary list syncs automatically. You should see your words within a few seconds.
3. Review without video
You can review flashcards right away, even without any video files on your phone. The sentence context is always shown — the Play button is simply greyed out until a matching video is available.
4. Add a video file for playback
To play video clips during review, copy the same video file to your phone and tap Add Video in the app. Verso matches videos by fingerprint — not by filename or location — so any copy of the file will work, even if the name is different.
5. Missing video prompt
If the app cannot find a matching video for a card, it shows a small banner saying the video is missing. You can dismiss the banner and continue reviewing. Your progress is saved regardless.
